During their tenure with The JBG Companies, NRP principals secured a major lease procurement with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Working side by side with the government agency and integrating them into every step of the development process, NRP Principals developed a thorough understanding of the agency’s goals and were able to deliver an appropriate facility, with LEED Gold Certification, in a low bid competition. The resulting headquarters facility was designed to maximize the tenant’s flexibility to help manage the needs of their growing and dynamic organization. The project team adeptly managed the addition of $61 million in user modifications, yet still delivered the facility a month early and 2% below budget. The project was innovatively financed by Raymond James using Taxable Lease Revenue Bonds rated by Standard & Poors.
